The Gather Well Psychedelic Guide Program is a 2.5 to 3 year education, and tuition reflects the depth of what it holds: faculty time, individualized mentorship, retreat infrastructure, and supervised practice across the full arc. We believe healing work should be accessible regardless of means, so tuition works on a sliding scale, structured as three contribution levels. Here is what the investment includes and how we make it workable.
The Investment
One Path, Three Phases
You move through the program as one continuous arc. Each phase has its own tuition, paid as you enter that phase, so the investment unfolds as your commitment deepens.
Groundwork Theory
Tuition: $1000
Where we align. Includes all asynchronous learning materials in our online learning space, comprehensive recorded educational content, one year of quarterly community learning and integration calls, and ongoing access to course materials for continued review.
Groundwork Practice
Tuition: $6000 standard contribution
Over four months, theory becomes embodied through two residential psilocybin mushroom retreats, live online community discussion and exercises, and at-home exploration, building your capacity with self, other, and the medicine.
The Apprenticeship
Tuition: $25,00 standard contribution
Where you learn, practice, and do. Includes eighteen months of live online instruction and mentorship, monthly one to one mentorship that follows your development, supervised ceremony experience as you observe, assist, and co lead ceremony, access to GatherWell’s guidebook and training resources, and a cohort community of practice that extends beyond graduation.
Access & Aid
A Tuition Ecosystem, Not a Fixed Price
Rather than one set price for everyone, each cohort is designed as a balanced tuition ecosystem. Groundwork Practice and the Apprenticeship are offered at three contribution levels: Lower, Standard, and Increased. Some spaces are held for participants who need tuition below the standard program cost. Others align with it. Additional spaces are held for those with greater financial capacity who choose to contribute above it in support of expanded access.
Financial capacity is relative. People arrive with different histories, responsibilities, privileges, and constraints, and every contribution level plays a part in allowing a cohort to form. When you apply, we guide you through a reflection process to help you find the level that is aligned for you. It asks for an honest look at your place in the larger ecosystem, and we trust each applicant to engage it with integrity and care.
Why This Investment
The Depth of a Graduate Program, the Mentorship of an Apprenticeship
Psychedelic training programs vary widely in both cost and depth. Many emphasize theoretical knowledge but offer limited experiential learning, mentorship, or supervised practice. Counseling degrees build strong clinical foundations over years, at graduate school cost, without psychedelic specific training. Retreats offer direct personal experience without professional formation.
The Gather Well Psychedelic Guide Program intentionally integrates all of it: theoretical education, experiential learning, supervised practice, ongoing mentorship, community, ethical development, and personal growth, in one continuous pathway. That is what tuition sustains. It’s the long way, on purpose.

Tuition covers the full arc of each phase of the Gather Well Psychedelic Guide Program. Groundwork Theory includes all asynchronous learning materials, recorded educational content, and ongoing community learning and integration calls. Groundwork Practice includes two residential psilocybin mushroom retreats with lodging and meals, group and individual preparation and integration support, and four months of live online learning and practice. How do contribution levels work?
Our tuition works on a sliding scale, structured as three contribution levels: Lower, Standard, and Increased. Rather than setting a single fixed price, each cohort is designed as a balanced tuition ecosystem, with spaces held at every level. When you apply, we invite you into a guided reflection on your financial reality, your responsibilities, and your access to opportunity, and you choose the level that is aligned for you. Every level plays a part in allowing a cohort to form, and contributions above the standard level directly widen access for others. Financial capacity is relative, and all of these roles are important to the health of the whole.
What happens if I am not admitted?
Applying is the beginning of a relationship, not a single gate. Cohorts begin when enough prepared participants are ready to move forward together, so timing matters as much as fit. If a cohort does not form right away, or if this particular moment is not yours, you remain part of the GatherWell community: your Gather More membership continues for its full term, and Gather Seeds stays open to you as a free place to keep learning. Some participants also find that a season of preparation leads them to apply again when the next cohort forms.
How do I apply?

When applications open, we will let you know, and you will complete the full application, including your contribution level reflection.
