The Groundwork Program is:

🌱Somatically informed: Programs encourage drawing on the wisdom of the body.

🌱Trauma-informed: Practitioners learn the complex ways trauma is experienced, held in the body, and can impact the life of an individual and the culture.

🌱Community-informed: Programs encourage community learning formats that foster relationships of support and mutual development.

🌱 Spiritually informed & non-dogmatic: Modalities a practice are deeply rooted in spirit, ancestral awareness, ecological, reverence & reciprocity, while remaining free from particular religious affiliations.

🌱Context & culturally informed: Programs emphasize awareness of the ways in which systemic forces and cultural context, impact an individuals well-being.

We believe in a collective responsibility to change culture to relieve suffering for the individual, rather than relying on the individuals who are suffering to change the culture.

As we ready ourselves for the Groundwork Program we’ve been talking about the role of ritual, in our daily lives, within the org, and within the programs.

Ritual can ground us, connect us to ourselves, each other, the ancestors, to place. Ritual can be simple, especially w/intention behind it. It can also be life-enhancing and a key to supporting psychedelic integration.

Our intention is to support students in developing their own rituals, whether ancestral, land-based, or other ways of bringing meaning & practice into their lives.

Do you use ritual as part of a daily practice? Has it supported your healing & growth?

The medicine of relationship, of community, of movement, of pleasure, of creativity, of earth, the vast network of interconnection of which we are a part, is some of the most potent medicine in psychedelic healing, work, and in any healing journey.

There are many more simple, but profound medicines that don’t come from outside of ourselves, that once (re) connected to, play an integral part in transformation & healing. What have you found helpful?

This work (psychedelic healing work), like most other change, happens slowly, over time, with dedication to our lives & with support from others. Our trainings are lengthy because transformation can be lengthy. We are orienting to the pace of nature and to a pace that we can actually metabolize the shifts & insights that occur. There are no quick fixes, 3 easy steps, pills, elixers or shortcuts to doing deep, relational, transformative work. It is the hope of the small, but dedicated Gather Well team that graduates of this program are equipped with the internal tools to be with complexity, to be able to be with each other and most importantly, to be able to be with themselves.

We have reverence for their potency and their efficacy.

Oftentimes the shifts that happen from psychedelic experiences are so profound, they inspire a desire to offer them to others.
